JORP DESIGNS is a brand name and company I started. Under this aegis, I get jobs from people and interact with my clients professionally.
WHO I AM
With a first degree in Information and Communication Engineering and a deep obsession with the internet, a career of developing websites has always been in the cards. I have been a freelance web designer for over two years and I am based in Nigeria.
When not busy working on a site, I also maintain a strong followership of Chelsea Football Club in England (I do both at times!).
WHAT I DO
I take you right through the process: from registering your domain name and setting up a hosting plan to getting your own website. I create most sites using WordPress; a Content Management System, ideal for blogs, business and ecommerce websites. It is an easy-to-use system of uploading pictures, adding text and editing pages without requiring any prior knowledge of coding.
Typically, website projects take between 4 to 10 weeks to complete. After deciding on design requirements and agreeing to a fee, 50% of the fee is paid before starting work while the balance will be paid upon delivery. After completing a project, any further work on the website will require paying a retainer fee.

I love the thrill that comes with finding solutions – whether it is finding a new way of positioning an element on a page or coming up with a new design entirely. The fact that I can not only think of a design but actually create it with my hands and see it come to life makes web designing a no-brainer. I also ensure my clients are well-informed and satisfied before handing projects over.
Following client demands is always (okay, most times) not an issue for me as Web Design is not just a profession but a passion also. Based in Nigeria, your location doesn’t matter to me as all our conversing and transacting can be done online.
